I certainly do not think you will see airlines going to high schools to pick out students for training from 0 hours. A squeeze in pilot availablity might do one thing, force airlines to treat pilots like human beings. On second thought, probably not.>

Just look at who puts out stories regarding pilot shortages. Either some idiot at usa today or some guy that wants you to pay him for some kind of fake services.

Shortages at the FBO? Shortages at Eagle? Shortages at Scare You cargo airline? Sure.

The bottom line, if you are truly passionate about flying, go for it. If you are looking for a good career that will pay you for your time and let you off when your 20th wedding anniversary comes up, forget the airlines. They just take all your money, kick you in the gut and then laugh in your face. Facts are facts.
