2001, talks were put on hold and the pay package was reduced due to 9/11. I can't remember when the contract was set to expire, but the pay increases were early due to a SWAPA request.
As far as the AIP rumors.....the offer must have been good enough that the Airtran NC bought into it. I doubt they are idiots (AT NC)!
