One thing that ORD will ask is that you keep your speed up. Have your student practice holding 120 knots in the descent on final until 1 mile, then slow for landing. Practice this someplace other than ORD first, and not at a really short field.

Also remember you're going to land "long" for a small plane, but as far as the controllers etc... they don't care, just get it down to the runway. If you can hold about 30-50' to bleed off the speed, just don't do it in ground effect or you will take too long, and maybe cause a go-around. Then you'll really be a problem and the controllers won't help you out.
