Not just downtown. My Hacks Cross area crashpad overlooks 2 fairways at Southwind and has a wonderful view of the World HQ
, but there is plenty of crime in this area. While in training last spring, we had our apartment broken into - the dumb sh!ts busted the door in, splintering the frame. Fortunately, they did not take my mtn bike, my fly fishing gear, my iPod, my Leatherman, etc... They only took our $40 DVD player and 5 DVDs.
Same weekend, the Kroger was robbed at gunpoint late at night while the shelf stockers were working . All the gas stations (a BP station worker told me about 6+ times) and banks have been hit in the Hacks Cross area. Another FedEx pilot told me that when he used to live in this apt complex, he inadvertantly interupted a neighbor being robbed at gunpoint - neighbor said he might have saved his life - while getting in his car at 1am to go to the AOC.
The bad guys often commute on the Nonconnahbahn.
