Sure, this is a SLI thread, but this is related. When’s LUV going to hire again? It was common knowledge that interviews were going to happen again this fall, and then recently amended to be on hold until SLI. Not that the dust’s settled yet, but when’s the hiring going to begin again?
What equipment are new hires going to go into in the future now? Many of us have the 737 type. I'd be happy to fly the 717 tho.
Sorry, but there is no good/easy way to answer your question. This SLI thing is far from over. (FL MEC still has to vote, if passed, then both groups have to vote, if it doesn't pass, then who knows how long before this is resolved). Price of fuel, revised growth plans or the ever promised "explosive growth" will all figure in to when they decide they need additional crews. I wouldn't bet on additional hiring this year, but that's just me, what do I know.
