These times are for an FAA ATP. The reality is far more worse for the low-timers...
Any airline that does international ops (ie canada & mexico) must use captains who meet ICAO ATP mins...this requires 1200 PIC, or right around there. More and more regionals are getting into this, and they are obviously changing their upgrade requirements.
I was laughing my *******ing @ss off at mesa when they instituted this requirement and all the MAPD folks who were about to upgrade were told they had to go back and and be an FO for another 1-3 years.
