I've been there with a logbook full of turboprop time. You know what I did? Keep plugging away. Things take time. I eventually got my break. You will too. Patience is a virtue.

I don't disagree with this statement at all, because this is indeed a small industry and I've yet to work for a company that I've ever really been fully "comfortable".
However, the
sheer arrogance of threatening me with that fact based off of two or three exchanges on a message board shows that you might indeed be the heartless one.
The funny thing is that only you have mentioned this "Turboprop pilots aren't as good as Jet pilots" thing. Most professional pilots wouldn't even consider this to be true because it's asinine. I don't think I'll ever be as good of a stick as I was when I was flying turboprops with no autopilot.
What it all boils down to is an airline
can freely set it's minimums wherever they choose because they can.
