I've been there with a logbook full of turboprop time. You know what I did? Keep plugging away. Things take time. I eventually got my break. You will too. Patience is a virtue.
I'm glad that you know how it feels, and some day like you said there will be a break, and i'm waiting patiently.

I don't disagree with this statement at all, because this is indeed a small industry and I've yet to work for a company that I've ever really been fully "comfortable".

However, the sheer arrogance of threatening me with that fact based off of two or three exchanges on a message board shows that you might indeed be the heartless one.
I was just giving a scenario that has been a reality for some peoples i have talked to. If you ever need a job to put food on a table and pay the bills i have never denied anybody. Hell, i have helped a college buddy of mine which i did not like, that nobody in my class actually liked, but he came to me and asked me to help him get the flying gig and i did.

The funny thing is that only you have mentioned this "Turboprop pilots aren't as good as Jet pilots" thing. Most professional pilots wouldn't even consider this to be true because it's asinine. I don't think I'll ever be as good of a stick as I was when I was flying turboprops with no autopilot.
I never said Tprop aren't as good as jet, I said omni recruiter rejected my friend resume and told him they're not taking Tprop guys. 99% of the pilot in their right mind knows it B.S. But reality is right now Tprop PIC guys are having a hard time finding better gigs than going back at the bottom of a regional and build some jet times. Which a lot of my friends including me are flirting with that idea.

What it all boils down to is an airline can freely set it's minimums wherever they choose because they can.
I agree with you 100%. But remember, Just because a company has the freedom to do whatever they want does not mean it's good practice. We are mostly given the freedom to do what we want, but there's right and wrong. And for me, saying to someone on his face that "We don't take Tprop guys" is flat out wrong.
