It doesn't at all. It only means that UAL/CAL pilots are fighting ALPA and management to reclaim scope. Just like we'll have to do. Just like the Hawaiian pilots had to do in bankruptcy.

Delta has reclaimed scope in past negotiations. We capped, then took back flying from ASA when they were operating 100 seat jets. There is nothing that prevents us doing the same thing in future negotiations.
Nothing other than fighting ALPA just as hard as management. It just seems a shame that our union and management are on the same side of the table, and line pilots are on the other.
