Rick, I think if you look at the recent EMB CA awards, its been almost exclusively CRJ FOs. I agree that you've got your work cut out for you, but most guys are doing it and getting through.
The E120 isn't a hard upgrade and the majority of its upgrades come from the RJ side but have previous “Taco Turbin” time as most left the E120 after a year for better pay and RJ experience. If you look at the awards you can't tell if they started off on the E120 or not.
Every RJ FO I know of except one who has never flown the E120 has passed upgrade.
