I was looking over the TA and I'm a bit concerned, among other things, about the Gateway Airport concept. I live within 120 miles of 6 designated Gateway Airports and I'm just curious how to handle parking. Getting a pass to the employee parking lot at all these airports will be impossible and paying for long term parking each month for upwards of 21 days will be unaffordable. Does anyone have any information on how parking will be handled or if it will even be addressed or will it ultimately just be a classic case of "sucks to be you"?
I was told face to face in ground school that if you're asked to depart out of an airport other than your assigned, you'll be given a rental car. Now, RJ, you know as well as I do we are both new hires and this might be laughed at by the "regulars" but imagine you driving down south to one of two airports in your car. Technically when you come back from your tip you have to go back to that airport to retrieve your vehicle, not your "base" airport. Again, I know Omni giving you a rental to travel south might/will/could be laughed upon. But, if they did provide you with one, you wouldn't have to worry about paying to park in long term nor employee parking. Now for tolls, that's a different story. Again, I am just a newbie and have no experience with how you, we, everyone, I will get told something and something else be the actual scenario. I think RJ, you and I both have experience with that from a previous life....
