You can have a standing bid in for as many domiciles you want, just list them in order of preference. Such as PDX, SEA, SLC, DEN, MSP, ORD, IAH, and so on. When SGU looks for transfers, and lets say they want to put someone in DEN, they'll pull up everyone that has a bid in for it, even if it isn't their first choice. When you have the seniority to hold it, and there's an opening you could get something further out west. When we're busy, like now, it could be possible to get a new domicile assignment almost monthly. Bids that have a higher preference than the one awarded will stay in the system. You can also have bids in for other seats at the same time.
One thing to remember though is once a domicile is awarded you have five days to accept or decline the transfer. If you decline there is a six month lock in your current location.
