From what I was told the FAA said they'd approve it... if everyone went to training every 90 days. Obviously not an option. Shizit pointed out that the three types, our planes, the Saudi 90s and the 717s have different FCPs among other differences but I dont know whatthe FAA thinks about that stuff.

The hung about CALs operation is they combine the 752, 753, 762 and 764 into one category. I believe all it requires is for the classics to have a PFD with a speed tape and you can bounce between them all.

Right now the 88 and DC9 are separate categories. To me seems like they should be able to run 717s as separate especially if they can pick up extra 717s from someone who doesn't want theirs.

I've got folks who've mentioned that we have folks here at DAL that recently did the quick 717 differences course. Not sure if that is true but that was from a year ago.
