I agree. However, LeeMat's response implied that the provision was better than CAL's and prevented the 12+ days in a row for domestic operations. I was just pointing out that CAL too has both a domestic and an international requirement for 24 hours off. CAL's is just like UAL's domestically: 24 hours off in base w/ an attempt for it to be a calendar day. Internationally, the rest can be downline at an outstation.
All of us at CAL know as soon as we go to an "international" destination and have a 24-hour layover, a pilot could be in for a world of hurt going forward. Was not debating that premise at all.
