I have noticed that to a certain extent, there is a large amount of whining among young entering pilots regarding pay. For this matter I have decided to see if this is linked to how most pilots lived before becoming “airline pilots”.

It is known that most college educated people do not come from deprived backgrounds, thus this would lead us to think that most pilots come from medium to high income households. This easily shows how coming from a good background in which one had everything easily accessible, would lead to frustration in a case is which one is stuck making 20K a year. On the other hand it seems that someone who has come from a deprived and impoverished background would not notice much of a difference and thus would not be as frustrated with the low regional pay.
