Are you Poor or Rich?

Are you Poor or Rich?
I have noticed that to a certain extent, there is a large amount of whining among young entering pilots regarding pay. For this matter I have decided to see if this is linked to how most pilots lived before becoming “airline pilots”.
It is known that most college educated people do not come from deprived backgrounds, thus this would lead us to think that most pilots come from medium to high income households. This easily shows how coming from a good background in which one had everything easily accessible, would lead to frustration in a case is which one is stuck making 20K a year. On the other hand it seems that someone who has come from a deprived and impoverished background would not notice much of a difference and thus would not be as frustrated with the low regional pay.
*This poll is voluntary.
*This is not the right place to spark a conversation on why regional pilot pay is low.
Please feel free to offer any insights on this matter.

Sorry I was unable to set the actual poll, so pick from the following answers, just pick a letter, I'll add them up on Jan. 25.2007. Thanks.
a.] I was poor before becoming a pilot, and I don’t whine about pilot salaries.
b.] I was poor before becoming a pilot, and I do whine about pilot salaries.
c.] I was somewhat running on a medium income before becoming a pilot, and I don’t whine about pilot salaries.
d.] I was somewhat running on a medium income before becoming a pilot, and I do whine about pilot salaries.
e.] I was rich before becoming a pilot, and I don’t whine about pilot salaries.
f.] I was rich before becoming a pilot, and I do whine about pilot salaries.
g.] I think this poll is ridiculous, and a waste of time.
*By previous income, I’m referring to when you lived with your parents or a previous job.

D seems to fit the best
I worked a REAL job for over a decade before becoming a full time pilot. I did have to take a pay cut at first but not a big one. Before I started flying I made about $40K/ year and lived comfortably, my first year flying I made $33K. I refused to take a job that paid less than $30K a year since that was what I need to live the life style I do, and I also belive it's wrong for highly trained and generally educated professional to work for less than what the guy at the drive thru makes.
BTW I don't whine about low pilot saleries since I get paid fairly well and refuse to fly for peanuts. But I do think that the low saleries other pilots accept are wrong! So I don't consider it whining, more protesting!
