On another note, do you fly for DL? I read recently that TSA has lifted the cockpit jumpseat restrictions internationally. Does Delta allow offline jumpseaters in the cockpit on international flights now?
I used to do jumpseat stuff at a previous airline and I don't recall seeing Omni on the AA International list. While I'm not actively involved anymore, I'm pretty sure that hasn't changed. Looks like you'll be buying Zed fares.
Regarding Delta and int'l cockpit jumpseating, not yet. The TSA has given the go ahead in principle, but there are still some technical issues that need to be addressed with regards to being able to verify a pilot's eligibility. I think TSA wants something a little more than CASS, or at least CASS with restrictions. It would also require a change to our Flight Ops Manual. BTW, these are issues to apply to all airlines, not just DL. As far as I know, no airline has yet made the technical and policy changes to allow this. I'm sure it's a low priority item, but it will come... eventually.
