I certainly do not disagree with you on that one. Putting on the uniform is not what makes you a known entity, it is the picture ID, a passport and being in CASS. Typically whether you are commuting to work or going somewhere for pleasure, business or whatever you are still occupying the same seat regardless of whether or not you put a uniform on that day or which security line you went through. Maybe some day it will get worked out. I am glad to see this first step in the right direction.
For me, I prefer to travel in uniform as it generally makes my airport life easier. .
