In crew room talk, I would guess that it's probably going to be the longest wait for any of CAL's present bases as things currently stand.....but stranger things have happened.

I have flown with a few B756 FO's outta IAH on the SA trips. They have said they can hold LAX FO on reserve, or just at the G-Line. They are waiting to move up to a solid line holder before bidding. Painting with a broad stroke, there's more than just a couple sitting on the sidelines waiting to bid in, and it's a 'small base'.

On the flip side, I have also heard the rumor that once the TPA expires, UHC 'may' plan on expanding the CAL's LAX Ops.....again, just a rumor FWIW. Stating the obvious, but that would allow more of those waiting/wanting to bid into LA the opportunity to do so.
