Couple of quick questions for CAL newhires
#31
I can't speak for Coto but us furloughees have been and are going through a wide range of emotions. I know I've written plenty of posts that I should never have hit 'send'.
I didn't respond to your original post about LAX but from what I've read, it sounds like there'll be an increase in Guppies out of LAX. As far as I'm concerned, they can fill terminal 8 with Guppies; it got taken over by RJs sometime after 9/11. I used to fly Airbii off of those gates; I'd love to see that flying upguaged back to mainline and I don't care if it's flown by S-CAL or S-UAL; we'll all eventually be one.

I won't sit here and pretend I know how it feels to be in yours or Coto's shoes, and I empathize completely. However, when I make an error, I'll be the first to admit it and will usually apologize to those I've wronged.
Is it a big deal, not really in the grand scheme of things and quite frankly I look forward to a speedy return of you all. Just hate to see bows and arrows flying in the wrong direction and a quick, "whoops I goofed" would have gone a long ways.

757, it's in the way that you say it. You have no idea what it is like to have pilots hired years later than you doing the same flying you did, out of the same domicile for the same company while you are on the street. In reading your posts, it doesn't sound like you are disappointed that Continental pilots are moving into a United domicile and that they may take over more of the flying at the expense of the United pilots. Following are your words:
"Rumor running rampant over here is that the company will be discarding some of the expiring TP&A at the end of the year and ramping up the 737 in LAX big time. Not looking forward to the whipsawing. "
"Where, contractually, does it say that our Pilots can't do the flying once your TP&A is cancelled by our crappy management? "

Forget it. You made a mistake and aren't man enough to admit it, I get it. I'm done with this thread and your BS. Welcome back anyway and perhaps someday you'll get that I'm even more opposed to whipsawing than you are.

I am having some comm issues with Christi et al regarding the CAL job offer. It seems email is the preferred method, yet, she has completely missed two of my emails so far. I am sure she has her hands full and is very busy. I accepted a class date and am trying to figure out the progression of paperwork and events . Anyone from the UAL side that has been there done that , please let me know the details as far as FAM , air apps, travel etc.
Thanks
Thanks

If you have accepted a class date about 30 days prior they'll bring your class in for fingerprints, drug test, uniform fit and paperwork. She has been busy with a class starting today. She's good about returning emails. Might rewrite your questions and resend.
