Default Two quick Fed Ex questions

Hi, I was just wondering do you have to have a 4 year degree in order to work for them. One other question I have is do you guys have to wear a uniform or not?

"College Degree from an accredited college or university" is the posted answer. But, although it shouldn't matter, IMHO you could wind up with an interviewer for whom a 4 year degree is important. I have a bud who interviewed and didn't make it, and the only comment he had was that the guy interviewing him spent some time talking about his degree. (guy was and is a great pilot, good guy to go out on the town with, and a military officer w/ no skeletons in the flying closet)

As to a uniform, I would say I do. My chief pilot might occasionally say that I don't. In the summer, barring the holiday ties, everyone looks the same. In the winter, might have a guy wearing the leather jacket, overcoat, raincoat, sweater with mixes amongst the crew....but, all on the "approved" uniform list.

Despite what you, me, or anybody else thinks of how useful a college degree is in basket weaving (or whatever), and whether or not it makes you a better pilot, let me ask you this;

As competitive as that job is/was, do you think that anybody would be able to get the interview without EVERY single qualification box checked?

Maybe if Fred himself was your sponsor.

Love Boat costume? Yes[/QUOTE]

Would that be "Julie's" or "Captain Steubins's"? The fact that I remember their names scares me. I'm worried about myself now.

For me, it's a silk bathrobe and hotel slippers.
