Default Couple of quick questions for CAL newhires

I was wondering what hotel you guys are staying in and curious about parking if you wanted to bring a car to training with you. Can you park for free anywhere if you fly home during training breaks?

Is the doubletree. Park in hotel or training center free. 44$ a day per diem start to finish. First class now finishing 30 Nov if it goes as planned

Does anyone know if EWR based pilots have to cover flying out of LGA as well? I am sure they do as UAL does. It just makes commuting that much more difficult.

From what I understand you are only responsible for EWR.

Not true. EWR pilots are not EWR based, they are NYC based. Currently no flying is done out of anywhere but EWR. There is NO guarantee that will not change. I expect when the merger is complete that it will change.

In the past, transportation was provided to LGA, but that can change too. This is another item in the contract that needs addressed. I'm not driving from PA to LGA or JFK.

Hey thanks for your replies, is it CBT style work at your own pace? Or like the old appendix H classroom stuff?
