I commute in regular clothes. I pack my 3 oz liquids and wear slip on shoes. You said it all right there. I do it the same way, business casual. The way I see it wearing the uniform is just a hassle and really does nothing for you unless bringing your big shampoo is important, which it is not for me. How much do you really need for a trip? 3oz lasts me weeks. Slip on shoes are easy. As long as you have your ID and passport, it's all good. I never have any problems.
Just what I want to do, go in a nasty airport bathroom with urine on the floor, disrobe and change, no thanks.
