Its BS, I wear polarized and fly an airplane that is mostly CRT with no problem. Might be a different story if you fly something with LCD screens. I lose a few pairs of sunglasses a year so the cheapest, non-dorkiest looking pair I can get at Walgreens seems to be the best. If I could have one thing in a pair of sunglasses is to have lenses that were non-reflective on the backs. Kind of annoying when the sun is coming in at an angle and reflecting off your face and all you see is a reflection of your eye ball. Don't buy expensive sunglasses because you will inevitably bend em, break em or lose em in a hectic 6 day leg of bag drags.
