The jet over shot the runway, drove almost 1/3 of a mile through a soybean field, slammed into the ditch of Highway 9, vaulted across the highway - leaving much of their plane at the edge of the road. I have a question for Dekora..how do you know they came in way too fast? The reason I'm asking is I've spoken with one of the passengers. According to what he told me they landed ..had time to deploy the thrustreversers..the plane FISHTAILED..the pilots looked at each other said something and at the same time everything went back to full power to try a go-around...but they ran out of runway..the question of the hour..why did they end up at a 2900 ft runway? There are 2 or 3 other airports within 50 miles that have longer runways..
