They only want 1200 TT because of most having 135 min's....Here's another thought, if you don't mind moving around the world then you could get 2000 TT and take a SO position at Cathay Pacfic. I was in a very similiar position as you about a year ago. I had stayed on as an instructor at one of the largest flight school's in the nation for about 3 years and had over 3000 TT and over 1000 turbine PIC. I THOUGHT that I would be able to skip the regional's and start at a major. In reality, not having any Extremely good connections means that the time I had was useless. In fact several regionals refused to interview me due to my high times. I have since spent a year getting 121 PIC time and hope to have a better job very soon. If i could go back a year though I would definately go the cargo route instead. Those guys seem to have a lot of fun and to answer your question, yes most of them do have jumpseat agreements or even CASS in many cases.
