Also note that I said "on either RRORP or LPRP orders." Once an ARC member declares sanctuary, they are no longer considered to be in the LPRP program. They get new orders to AD, the rules change, and they are no longer limited by the 48-month maximum of the LPRP.
I just spoke to a friend who is with me in the LPRP program and has heard that sanctuary declarers will actually be staying within the LPRP program until their 20 yr retirement point. The LPRP office has said that this will end up being easier than putting folks back on regular active duty. One reason given was the pain of having to meet AD promotion boards...which is not required under the LPRP program.
