Performance is measured by peer evaluation. Once the SIC has 5 recommendations from senior captains for upgrade, the candidate goes before an upgrade review board for final evaluation. The review board is knowledge/situational based and covers all aspects of the operation. There is no sim or flight eval required for upgrade.
