Still think you'll see possible new flying only at least for awhile. The "dynamics" behind the opening/closing of crew bases is rather large.
However, in fairness to your point, "cross-pollinating" is a stated internal goal and the bases are already established. Equip/status is just a system bid.

You're right, we'll see what happens soon enough. But experience at UAL has shown that management exploits contractual language to their advantage whenever possible, so my guess is that a body shuffle will accompany the aircraft shuffle.
