About 2 or 3 contracts ago, we traded negotiating capital for R24. There is a catch however, if reserve manning becomes "critical", the company can assign hotel standby to R24 holders. In the 4A2B Laboratory, the lab rats came out of their cages to fly as much as they could causing this experiment to endure for 18 months and proving to the company the real value of a reserve pilot, very little! Hence, the number of reserve lines decreased, regular lines increased, BLG's minimized, Voila'!
I can see no reason why the company will ever not exercise this provision of our CBA that allows them put R24 reserves into hotel standby each and every time. This what we bought with our negotiating capital my friends. We then sealed this reality with a kiss during 4A2B. So be nice to your maids, they are all we have left of our R24 benefit.
