And I thought I was the one missing something. Flying job or not, I'd just find it hard to get excited about a job that at min guarantee (because face it, it's called 'guarantee' for a reason), that will net you $1,050 per month your first year after the training expenses. That is, if the APC scales/calculator are right.

And I don't buy the 'it's a start in aviation' argument in this case. Even if you had no actual living expenses, I still fail to see how this is doable. And I consider myself a fairly fiscally responsible individual. I made significantly more than this as an intern at a large company back during college. And had housing provided. And had benefits.
