At 2:00, looks like a lot of extra compressor washes would be in order.

Does anyone know why the canopy is hinged forward?

Seems odd to see Lt. Col and Maj. on the canopy rails of a jet operating on a carrier deck
It would be normal for most aircraft on the deck of an LHD to bear Marine ranks right?
Maybe the canopy is hinged forward to keep it away from the lift engine?
