On our bid form it just says you must have at least 250 hours PIC for upgrade to captain. Which I have. I just hope I don't wait it out and find out when the time comes that I need the the PIC night and PIC cross country experience as well. Otherwise I might find myself giving free instruction to get the time.
We were having the same issue at my airline just a few months ago. Our fsdo wasnt counting the sic time towards the requirement even though other fsdos were. Our company challenged them and won (of course). It should be a non issue.
