Does anyone have an idea what is going to happen when UAL recalls pilots who are working for CAL? I have heard rumors of flying being shuffled around and if you were to go to CAL now as a UAL furloughee, you may be based in IAH now, but in a number of months could see yourself moved to EWR or ORD or somewhere else you hadn't planned on being based. I heard the company was going to move Airbuses to IAH and 737s to DEN for frieght to south america. Any other rumors?
If you the bottom 20 or so pilots on the list you can indeed get moved around. There's a seat bid every 6 months or less and each time there are usually a handful of adds or subtracts in each seat (at least). CLE was junior then they shrunk it so EWR was junior then they shrunk that so IAH is junior. Each time there are folks at bottom who can end up migrating around.
