This is a real question, how is 737 ewr more senior then 737 iah when the most junior people on the list can hold 737 ewr and not 737 iah and not the opposite. Same thing on the 757/767 and the 777, iah is more senior then ewr. My comments are based off the recall bid, which i was a part of, when people that I know wanted iah but couldn't hold it. This newest bid with the ual hires of course changes things but I don't know what the junior people can and can't hold because they haven't been assigned yet as far as I know.

The B777 in EWR vs IAH is kind of a different beast when comparing.....
When looking solely at the F/O side at those two bases, IAH has only about 1/3 of that to EWR (115-ish to 375-ish) as far as the staffing level (Feb). The majority of the flying for that plane is out of EWR. Stating the obvious, more flying = more staffing thus bringing down (or opening the door) the threshold for those who wish to get in the door to fly that aircraft......The bottom person in each bases of those two bases on that equipment is about 300-400 apart.

As far as the other platforms vs bases and "junior-ity", don't really have a clue as to how it shakes down, or as to the reason 'why'. One things for certain.....It's just all "Jeff'ED UP" these days, that I do know!!
