Of those 7-8 out of 12 days worked.....are they sending you out on a 7-8 day trip or two 3 day trips with a day trip added? It makes a big difference frombeing gone 7 vs gone 3 and 3.
As to your comments about the Cheif Pilot......Mr AF was in recurrent when I got my type on the Phenom 300....he was a great guy.

Every 12 day rotation can vary widely based on need and aircraft. My experience is that you can expect to work 7-9 days out of those 12 and then you 3 days off. It can and has happened that pilots have been gone 10 days in a row or so. I've had it happen to me twice, but I've also been here awhile now. But I've also had months where I was only out 6 nights total and the rest were out and back day trips. The variety, to me, is what keeps things interesting. So yeah 2011 we got worked pretty hard but things are getting better. The company hires really good pilots and good people.
