Really shiznit? Appeals to be heard? When did ALPA file an appeal to this judgment?

No they don't. They only have insurance if the payout is quite low. If it's a large monetary penalty, ALPA will have to self-insure or file for bankruptcy. It all depends on what the final monetary penalty is.
