That depends on how you count work. Flight duty days have settled down a bit into the 18-20 day range. But yeah, you'll be at home with your phone on some the other days. That being said short notice callouts are not what I would call regular though they do happen sometimes

You'll pretty much end up being cross-trained in everything, or most equipment anyway. You can only be PIC on two aircraft requiring a type rating so, for me, it was PIC Phenom 100, 350 and the C90 since it doesn't require a type, and I was SIC on the Beechjet.
