I just got done talking to some aviation friends/contacts about the cost to benefit ratio of aviation degrees and the SUCKERS still falling for it...some of us are on our second furlough or company going under at the ripe old age of our mid twenties (some in their mid twenties...). Couple that with making sub 30K for years.
Pilot Shortage? Nope. Don't buy the sun shine and advertising of the big 4 year aviation schools. There is a REASON their enrollment is plummeting and they counter with shiny glitzy ad campaigns to distract you from REALITY. Thetruthabouttheprofession.weebly.com!!!
Not meant to be mean. I want others to avoid the mistakes I have made. I am tired of aviation schools selling half truths if not lies. The internet has come sooo far in my lifetime. I wish it was around when I was getting into flying!
