Not only would I avoid the aviation dorm, I would also avoid the aviation major.

An aviation major won't make you more attractive to an airline or a better pilot. Go have fun in college and learn something that isn't aviation related - fly after class. The way this industry works you're going to want to have a PLAN B.
Last time i checked, some airlines say that a bachelors degree is "preferred". Why shortchange ourself in an industry that is valuing human capital less and less??
