Not really. If UAL had stayed independent, I would have been top 10 when I retire. So that's the CAREER expectation I have going into this. Time will tell if that career expectation is honored. I have my guess.. We just have different blocks of heavy retirements.

You've illustrated my concern, though. There is a post about United pilots somehow getting a seniority bump through the merger and now holding Captain spots (turned out to be false). This is followed up by a post jockeying for position about career expectation. No matter how this all goes, there are going to be some pilots that get "hosed" and some that get a windfall. We all need to remember that it is going to feel world-class cruddy for those that don't fare as well in the SLI, and show a little tact.
