You are right. Cal has a lot of 737s, because cal's current management also did not have any foresight. They continue to give up relatively new wide bodies like 767-200 instead of finding a route on which it can make money. LCal flies 737s to places they should fly wide bodies because cal neglected to order wide bodies.

UAL has more wide bodies that CAL, but they are old and tired and many not etops certified. CAL parked all it's older wide bodies. Had we kept the DC10. And 747's and even the airbus, CAL would have a lot more wide bodies. UAL hangs on to some old planes and says, look we have more wide bodies than CAL. CAL's wide bodies are newer and etops certified.
I know the 747's came from Peoples Express (-100) I think and the Airbuses were stolen from Eastern - where did the DC-10 come from?
