Do people really give a crap what size aircraft they fly? I care about two things, pay and schedule. Whether it's a 737 or a 747, i could care less. I'd much rather be flying a 737 for SWA than a 747 for UAL. I'd much rather fly a 737 for CAL than a 747 for Atlas and I'd much rather fly a 727 at FEDEX than all of the above.
When we get into these pointless debates it just fuels the fire for management. I'm sure they love it when our egos get involved in scope. "70 seat RJ?" "Let the 'kids' fly it, I'm a big metal driver," blah, blah, blah.
