This is the worst military movie (that is supposed to be good and authentic) that I've ever seen. I don't know what the hell George Lucas was thinking. He should be ashamed of himself. The acting was horrible. The writing was amateurish. The plot was cliche. And nearly every scene was CGI created. It felt like they used one set ... a blue screen ... for the entire movie.

I watched it with four bubbas from my reserve unit. Two groups of people left during the middle of it. One of my friends wanted to leave, but he didn't drive so he patiently waited. When we walked out, we all sounded out a big "WOW!".

This movie was clearly a dumb downed version of the real story, intended to make a certain part of the population feel good about itself.
+1. A couple of my friends showed up late to the theater and when I walked out to give them directions, I almost didn't walk back in. It clearly sucked 10 minutes into the movie, and only got worse.

HBO's movie, Tuskegee Airmen tells the story better, has superior acting, and real airplanes flying in real flying scenes. Red Tails is a huge miss. If this is what it takes to get the younger generation to drop a video game and watch a history movie, we're in trouble.
