Since hired I've been shoved around to 4 domiciles and only avoided a fifth by delaying my return from furlough.

Second, a uniform is not required to jumpseat.

Third, if you'd like to be able to jumpseat, go get an ATP, spend a few years building time while making less than $30K (or flying in Afghanistan) and then try to get an airline job. It's just that simple. UAL interviews something like 25 dudes for every one they hire. Till then you are free to hang out on the Maint guys forum and spread your acumen with guys who may share your viewpoint because most of us do not. I would just about guarantee that no pilot is hanging out there pontificating with exclamation points about all things under the sun WRT to wrenching on airplanes.

We take enough crap from management, our passengers, and DEN gate agents. We don't need any lecturing from you.

Thanks and have a swell day!!!

Dude,
let's NOT make it about HOURS as I have 6100+ including 2900 PIC.
and an ATP, DHC7,CV580,L188,C382 and DC9. And Even though I'm no longer ableto fly DOESN'T mean YOU have anything on me and your furghloughs are an accident of DATE! I took and passed My flight check at DENTK in 1984. So you're just plain LATE!! And that's NOT MY fault!
It IS what it IS! You could have done anything else, You chose to be a pilot and you take what comes with the job. When My Med was no longer good I did what I had to do. I don't blame YOU nor do I expect YOU to feel sorry for ME. So quit Whining and DEAL with it! You're not the ONLY one who EVER caught a bad break. And I stand BY my previous statement. BTW I Do have Jumpseat authority!! Luckily I've Never had to use it. I've got ENOUGH time In Cramped cockpits to last a lifetime! If I'm going to jumpseat It will be in a 757 or Larger..
