When I read "West Gate" I thought of the Main (I guess that would actually be SW) gate next to the O Club and older BOQ. Is the West Gate up near the turn in the road as you parallel the fence after making a right out of the main gate? Basically west of the north westernmost hangars. Also, does anyone know the AD background of the mishap pilot (i.e Navy, adversary, etc.)?
