Since my failure occurred while on a 135 trip with pax I had to deal with the Feds for a while afterwards, but they assured me that nothing would show up on my record and it hasn't. They advised me that when I fill out insurance forms there is no need to check "yes" on the accident/incident question. Beats me though. It sure felt like an incident when it was happening.
Well...maybe something not showing up on your record is a different matter than something not being considered an incident. Sounds like you had one for sure but you were not found causal so you don't need to get dinged on it when it comes to disclosure. If the Feds were investigating, I'm sure they either had to classify it in form or another. They weren't out there investigating *nothing*
