Actually, Jay did send a letter to those accusing us of a sickout and calling them out on their claim that we (the CAL pilots) are under the same injunction as the UAL pilots and that we were in fact doing a sickout. The union demanded that the company provide proof of their claim of a sickout for those 28 cancellations last summer, other than pronouncements to the press. On future MEC conference calls he stated that no proof was ever provided. Didn't exactly get a public apology from the company or anything.
