hmmm i wouldnt bash unions just yet. XJT has a fairly respectable contract, and i think in the next few years youre going to see ALPA recover a lot of what was given up after 9/11 the next time everyone goes to the table. then everyone will say "oh wow unions are awesome." And then the next time theres an economic downturn, guess whos going to get blamed for it... ALPA again. please remember that unions may not be anywhere near perfect, but they give you some very IMPORTANT rights and protection, and if you have to pay 2% of your pathetic salary for it, hey im all for it!
