I work a couple of side gigs with clients I met earlier in the aviation field. I spend a lot of time of overnights catching up on consulting work, and unfortunately have to spent a good chunk of my days home at the airport taking care of General Aviation aircraft of different types. On top of that I do everything I can to get flying on reserve - I use aggressive pick up, bad day/worse day trades, even bug scheduling at random - that got me 35 credit hours over min guarantee last month + extra per diem (though that's hard to do regularly). This so I don't have to sell my car and/or condo. Even with all that extra (which brings in more than my piddly first year FO salary, I'm still struggling to make enough to cover all the bills. Good thing is that I only have a couple of car payments left, so that should help soon
